More specifically how much I appreciate your patience with me. Andi will hopefully return at the end of March and we are expanding so we hope to have more capacity very soon.

I wanted to take a moment and post a few policy changes

Effective immediately:

All cancelations must be made in writing with 48 hours advance notice. Cancelations may be emailed to us. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 1 hour at our normal rate.

If we should cancel on you, we will credit you 1 additional hour to your next cleaning. Exceptions are severe weather related cancelations.

Appointment times are approximate. The ladies are given a (1) hour window in which to arrive at your home

We will be changing the way we schedule so that each crew member will stay on one side of Cincinnati for the entire work day. This will limit the amount of driving they do and help to keep our costs down. This also means you may not have the same person at every cleaning.

If you wish to request the same person for every cleaning, we will reschedule your cleanings based on the day and time that crew member is in your area, that week.

Effective March 31st, 2011:

Because of rising fuel costs we are increasing our minimum to $80 for the first 2 hours, then $30 per hour for additional time. This increase applies to all customers

The rates for 2 person cleaning crews are now double the rate of a one person crew for the same amount of time.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Thanks again!

Jon
Maid In CIncinnatihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05379255373557567027noreply@blogger.com04672 Paddock Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45229, USA39.169664 -84.47755539.165504999999996 -84.4848505 39.173823 -84.4702595tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8462419748921569324.post-50506374450856196442011-01-13T12:32:00.000-05:002011-01-13T12:32:38.704-05:00We are a Super Service Award Winner!

We worry about the health of the families we clean for and our wonderful crews that do the cleaning.

Gentler, natural cleaning products have always had 2 problems.
1) The smell bad because they have no artificial fragrances.
2) They are expensive.

That is until now.

We have begun making our own cleaning supplies using natural products. Over the next few weeks we will be testing different combinations when we clean.

We do still have a supply of normal cleaning supplies left so we will still occasionally use those until they are gone. When you are down on your hands and knees scrubbing a kitchen floor, you honestly don't think about the internet very much. Because of that our "web presence" has not been the greatest.

For years we had stayed busy enough we didn't have to worry about finding new customers. Then when the economy turned bad we realized that we had to grow to keep our business steady. The internet seemed to be the answer but we aren't the most technically literate people. Wet a cloth of full strength white vinegar. You can purchase a quart of white vinegar in the grocery store for about $1.00. Scrub down the faucet with the cloth. If residue and hard water buildup is present, you will need to remove it.

Step 2

Saturate the cloth with white vinegar. Lay the cloth over the faucets being sure to cover all areas that show signs of calcium buildup. This is the whitish crusty residue that clings around the faucets.

Step 3

Allow it to rest for 15 minutes to soften the calcium buildup.

Step 4

Remove the cloth and scrub the area with a soft bristled brush. The acid in the vinegar will soften the buildup making it much easier to remove with a little scrubbing.

Step 5

Rinse with cold water and dry with a soft dry cloth.

Step 6

Inspect the faucet area for any remaining debris or residue. This area tends to collect dirt and grime.

Step 7

Check the overflow vent for any dirt and grime that may have collected there. Clean with the toothbrush and rinse clean.

Step 8

Scour the sink with a little shampoo on a clean cloth. Shampoo is designed to remove body oils and will cut through soap scum and dirt leaving the sink sparkling clean. Wipe down with a clean dry cloth.

Step 9

Fill a spray bottle with undiluted rubbing alcohol. Be sure to clearly label the bottle to prevent accidental misuse. Store rubbing alcohol out of the reach of children.

Step 10

Spray down the entire faucet and sink area with rubbing alcohol and wipe with paper towels or a clean dry cloth. You can find anything from a doctor to a deck builder and reviews from thousands of people in the Cincinnati area.

A company cannot pay to be listed on Angie's List, they have to be rated by an existing paid member. You have to buy a membership to join Angie's List so you know the ratings are genuine. Recently someone rated us A+. Now you can also find Maid In Cincinnati there!

House Cleaning in Cincinnati

Maid In CIncinnatihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05379255373557567027noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8462419748921569324.post-22316295982119747532009-10-10T16:49:00.005-04:002009-10-12T17:19:28.730-04:00Another Full Tummy - Thanks to BharatToday we cleaned for Bharat and his family. They have a beautiful four month old daughter who was such a good child, they mentioned that she only cried when she was hungry. So thanks to them one of the children at Intyatyambo Community Project , won't be crying for a week because their little tummy will be full.

As a part of trying to make a difference in children's lives, Maid In Cincinnati donates enough money to feed a child at the Intyatyambo Community Project for a week, for each cleaning job they do.

So just think , besides having a clean house you are also helping someone less fortunate than yourself. The problem is that also makes it unsafe for most houseplants. One of the chemicals that will hurt your plants is chlorine. If can effect them even in small doses. Chlorine is actually a gas that is blown into the water as it leaves the water treatment plant.

Here is an easy way to get rid of chlorine safely...

Step #1 Find a container like an old gallon plastic jug or pitcher
Step #2 Fill the container with tap water and store it without any lid
Step #3 Leave the container open for 2-3 days.
Step #4 After a few days the water is safe to use on your planes

The chlorine will naturally dissipate from the water just like carbonation does from an uncapped soda bottle.Maid In CIncinnatihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05379255373557567027noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8462419748921569324.post-41589195085044136512009-09-25T12:04:00.000-04:002009-10-12T17:16:08.917-04:00Maid In CincinnatiThe gentleman who built our website for us told us we should start a blog and here we are.

We are a Cincinnati housecleaning company and you can read more about us on our website www.maidincincinnati.com

Check out our new website, we are really proud of it!Maid In CIncinnatihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05379255373557567027noreply@blogger.com0
