Tip about Houseplants

The water that comes out most faucets in the USA has been chemically treated to make it safe for drinking. The problem is that also makes it unsafe for most houseplants. One of the chemicals that will hurt your plants is chlorine. If can effect them even in small doses. Chlorine is actually a gas that is blown into the water as it leaves the water treatment plant.

Here is an easy way to get rid of chlorine safely...

Step #1 Find a container like an old gallon plastic jug or pitcher
Step #2 Fill the container with tap water and store it without any lid
Step #3 Leave the container open for 2-3 days.
Step #4 After a few days the water is safe to use on your planes

The chlorine will naturally dissipate from the water just like carbonation does from an uncapped soda bottle.
